Why I Write at the Edge of the Possible
I grew up devouring books — everything from Anne of Green Gables to Stephen King. Stories helped me face the dark, understand fear, and imagine worlds bigger than my own.
But it wasn’t until I lost both of my dogs during the pandemic that I realized I’d been telling stories all along — through grief, through love, through every dog who shaped my life.
Writing became the place where I could breathe again.From that healing came two paths: one toward children’s books rooted in my immigration story, and another toward a sci‑fi horror novel that surprised even me.
Now I write about capable Latinas, found family, cosmic dread, and love that’s brave enough to be soft. I write at the edge of the possible — where fear becomes wonder, and where every story is a way home.
